Meet Cris

Hi, there. This is me, Cris. I hope you have liked my new site so far.

My passionate romances are permeated by empowering stories and feature characters who, in one way or another, discuss the subject of the theses I presented at the Faculty of Law: An approach to the violation of women's human rights in the context of violence. A socio-legal approach to crimes against sexual freedom committed against women.

 

I have a degree in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, with a master's degree in Business Law. I also studied Fine Arts in Florence and Turin, Italy, and at PUC-RJ, and studied in England, Switzerland, Italy and France, as well as, of course, in Brazil.

I live in Rio de Janeiro, with my 2m tall husband, two beautiful daughters (at least, I think so) and Loki, my Sheltie. In 2011, after twenty-two years of arduous practice as a lawyer, I decided to give writing a chance, which had always been very present in my life, but remained at the bottom of the drawer. Surprisingly, it was the missing piece of the puzzle of my life. Now that I've been hooked, I can't break free — nor do I want to.

Although my mother tongue is Portuguese, my first published novels were written in English. After testing more than 12 translators, I understood that there is no one better than myself to translate my books. And they will also be translated into Spanish, Italian, and French — for now.

My romances and works have won awards from Literary Classic International, Readers' Favorite, and Amazon.US, among others.
